Is CBD oil legal?
Yes, ‘THC Free’ CBD oil obtained from hemp is legal in all 50 states. The FDA considers hemp-derived cannabinoids to be food-based products, so their importation and consumption is not restricted. However, it is not legal to grow hemp in most of the US states. For this reason, many companies producing CBD oil or other cannabidiol-rich supplements, source their hemp from states or countries where it is legal to grow it. Our CBD is derived from Oregon/California/Colorado-grown hemp.
Can I fail a drug test using CBD?
It depends on which CBD product(s) you are taking. Our CBD products labeled as THC Free will not cause you to fail a drug test for THC. However, our products labeled as ‘PharmaBlend’ do contain small amounts of THC (<0.3%) and may cause you to fail a drug test for THC. Drug tests are geared toward identifying THC, not CBD or other cannabinoids. If one medicates with CBD-rich cannabis that has a small amount of THC, the THC may register on a drug test.
What is the difference between CBD Isolate and Full-Spectrum CBD?
Products made from CBD Isolate do not benefit from the desired entourage effect because all the beneficial components of the plant are removed, leaving only the CBD. On the other hand, Full-Spectrum CBD products from contain CBD as well as over 200 natural and beneficial terpenes and cannabinoids, just as nature intended.
Our ‘Full Spectrum’ CBD contains useful cannabinoids such as CBDA and CBDV. For instance, research suggests that CBDA offers Anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. CBDV can significantly reduce the frequency and severity of seizures. It also reduces or even eliminates nausea associated with several conditions, and helps to reduce inflammation throughout the body. CBDV is also beneficial in the treatment of pain and mood disorders.
‘Full Spectrum’ CBD also contains useful terpenes like ‘Humulene’ which has anti-inflammatory properties. The terpene ‘Beta-caryophyllene’ activates the CB2 receptor and offers great promise as a therapeutic compound for inflammatory conditions and auto-immune disorders. The terpene ‘bisabolol’ (aka α-Bisabolol) has become a subject of research for medical benefits such as anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, antioxidant, anti-microbial and analgesic properties.
How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD?
The effects of CBD are of relief, not of euphoria. Often times they are overlooked when first using CBD. The effects of relief usually begin 20-30 minutes after consuming or applying CBD depending on the strength of the product.
How much CBD oil should I take?
This mainly depends on which product you are using, how you use it, and how your body adapts to it. We recommend starting with a minimal dose, once or twice a day and see if this dosage works for you. If you’re new to using a CBD supplement, we encourage you to discuss with your healthcare professional any specific questions you may have.
Does CBD have any side-effects?
Hemp is considered to be generally safe. You should not see any side-effects of using CBD. However, you should consult your physician before using dietary supplements like CBD.
Both hemp and marijuana come from the cannabis plant, but they come from different strains.
While hemp is a form of cannabis, it doesn’t have any psychotropic effects, so it won’t make you “high”. The cannabidiol (CBD) extracted from the industrial hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) contains less than 0.3% THC and produces zero psychotropic effect.
Cannabis indica is the species commonly known as the marijuana plant. CBD extracted from Cannabis indica can contain levels up to 30% THC.
Our CBD is derived from the industrial hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) and contains less than 0.3% THC.
Are all CBD products the same?
Absolutely not. Many producers derive their CBD from imported hemp with unknown growing conditions, little to no production quality control, and no testing to ensure purity. Our CBD is procured from a tenured genetic library of seeds developed over years to create CBD-rich Industrial Hemp with low THC. Our Hemp is organically grown in BIOSOIL on a licensed farm in the USA.
We use CO2 extraction rather than thermal extraction, which causes heat degradation of the essence. Third party testing of the raw material (extract) using the latest HPLC (gas chromatography) method of analyzing and purifying our extract to have a full spectrum CBD with <0.3% THC. Zero psychoactive qualities – only the beneficial CBD attributes.
What’s in your hemp extracts besides the naturally occurring CBD?
Hemp oil is rich in naturally occurring fats rich in omega-6, omega-3, terpenes, and flavonoids. Terpenes interact synergistically to magnify therapeutic benefits, and flavonoids are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Many of our products also include coconut MCT oil, which is easily absorbed by the body through the liver, so a higher proportion of CBD will enter the bloodstream more quickly. MCT is chain of fats (medium chain triglycerides) that are linked to the way the body processes fats. MCT is commonly extracted from coconut oil, which contains more than 50% MCT. In addition to the added health benefits, MCT oil increases product shelf life.
What’s the difference between hempseed oil and coconut MCT oil in CBD products?
Both have beneficial properties. Coconut MCT oil is easily absorbed by the body through the liver, so a higher proportion of CBD will enter the bloodstream more quickly. Hemp oil is rich in omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. MCT also has it’s own beneficial health properties and increases product shelf life.
What’s the difference between fat-soluble and water-soluble CBD products?
Water-soluble CBD products contain smaller particles of CBD, which make it more bioavailable with higher efficacy. Our CBD offers Water Soluble Powder for adding to food, beverages, and animal feed.
Is it possible to overdose on CBD?
No. CBD and other cannabinoids are natural and non-toxic. There is no established lethal dosage of CBD, and studies have shown that prolonged use of high doses (up to 1500 mg per day) is well tolerated in humans. High doses can cause sleepiness and lethargy, however, so you may want to reduce your dosage if you experience these effects.
Is it legal to travel with CBD products in my possession?
Yes. You can travel with CBD products anywhere within the EU or US because our products do not contain THC. For air travel within or from/to the US, we strongly recommend you check the TSA regulations each time you fly for quantity restrictions for carry-on. We suggest carry-on should you encounter any questions by airport security.
If you are traveling outside of the EU or US, you should check with your travel agent or airline.
